Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service and describes what ChainSignal may and may not be used for. It applies to everyone who uses the service, on any plan, including without an account.

1. What the service is for

ChainSignal is read-only analytics software. It reads publicly available Solana blockchain data and third-party market data, and presents a report about a token: contract permissions, liquidity structure, holder concentration, and estimated exit cost. Paid plans additionally monitor tokens you choose and notify you when certain on-chain values change.

You may use it to research tokens for your own purposes, and to share individual results.

ChainSignal does not custody funds, execute trades, operate an exchange or wallet, issue any token, or take a position in anything you analyse. It never asks for a wallet connection, a private key, or a seed phrase — and you should never give those to anyone claiming to be us.

2. What you may not do

• Scrape or automate beyond your plan. Do not send automated traffic beyond the usage limits attached to your plan, or hammer the service in a way that degrades it for anyone else.
• Circumvent usage metering. Do not attempt to bypass scan or explanation counters, rate limits, or access controls — for example by cycling accounts or IP addresses to avoid a limit you have reached.
• Resell or rebrand the output as your own. You may not present ChainSignal reports, scores, labels, or alerts as your own product or service, or redistribute them commercially.
• Break the law. Do not use the service in furtherance of fraud, market manipulation, money laundering, or any other unlawful activity, or in breach of sanctions that apply to you.
• Interfere with the service. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user’s account, probe or test our security without permission, or disrupt the service’s operation or infrastructure.
• Misrepresent what we say. Do not present our output as financial advice, as a guarantee that a token is safe, or as a recommendation to buy or sell — because it is none of those things.

3. Enforcement

If an account breaches this policy we may suspend or terminate it, with or without notice depending on the severity, and we may restrict access from particular addresses. Where the breach is minor and unintentional we will normally contact you first.

If we terminate a paid account for a breach of this policy, we do not refund the remaining period. Refunds otherwise follow our Refund Policy.

4. Reporting misuse

If you believe someone is misusing ChainSignal, or you have found a security problem, email support@chainsignal.dev. Please do not publish a security issue before we have had a chance to fix it.

5. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email or in the service before they take effect.
